How we helped

mthree is an emerging talent and reskill training partner for public and private organisations across the globe, helping futureproof companies in the face of an increased pace of change, widening the gap between the skills needed and their availability in the workforce.

Internationalisation:

mthree expanded further into the European market during our investment, opening four new offices in Germany, Singapore, Ireland and Poland.
We supported mthree on their organic growth plan for the US and Canada, including investing into a sales team, delivery resource and training centre in New York. This helped position mthree for exit to US buyers.

People & culture:

We worked closely with the mthree team to develop and run two engagement surveys to help understand the level of engagement across different global locations and roles, to develop a number of initiatives to promote employee engagement and internal communications.

Following a period of strong growth, ECI exited mthree to Wiley, a listed US Education provider, in 2020 generating a return of 2.7x. The transaction will further accelerate mthree’s North American growth which was a key part of the company’s transformation during our investment.

We have been on a journey from a start-up to a global corporation that includes partnerships with the world’s largest banks and disruptive tech businesses.

What is mthree’s alumni programme?

My name is China Hernandez. I am 21 years old.

I’m 22. My name is Valeria Petrae. I am 22 years old. I am from the Bronx, New York.

I am here in Montreal.

I’m outside Mthree’s offices in London.

I got accepted to Mthree’s programme. The position is Junior Production Support Analyst.

I am going to be starting a job at Mthree Consulting, where I’m going to be learning to be a software developer.

Mthree provides a tailored training programme for all of our graduates. Mthree offers a very rigorous programme — we shoot for quality people. We’re trying to give them the skills that are expected in a large team environment. We know about financial services, we know about technology, and we’re passionate about both.

You’re trained to know what to do. Everyone joining has worked so hard to get their degrees and work their way through the education system.

Through the training programme you get placed on site at a reputable bank. Mthree gave me the opportunity to work at an investment banking firm that’s considered one of the top banking firms in the country.

After the trainee is accepted into the programme, they’ll come and do training with us. We come in every morning around 8 or 9 and we just sit down and we learn.

I used to only apply my skills in mathematics, but through the programme I took them into technology and finance.

If you like a fast-paced environment, if you like solving problems on the fly with a team, this is the place to be.

We’re looking for individuals that will go above and beyond to take on more responsibilities and really be able to drive a career forward. It makes a difference, and Mthree is looking for that difference.

My advice to somebody who wants to enrol in Mthree’s programme is just stay hungry and learn as much as you can.

The main thing I would say is that it gives you the opportunity to work with extremely smart people. We have an astrophysics student here and I love talking with her.

You really are the one who determines how far you can go in this industry.

Today is my first day — I’m so excited! It’s going to be my first day as a Production Support Analyst. I’m really excited. It’s been a lot of hard work getting here and I can’t wait to meet my colleagues and my new team.
