We’re delighted to have picked up two awards at the 2024 Real Deals Private Equity Awards. For the second year running, we won mid-cap PE House of the Year and were also voted European Fund of the Year.

PE House of the Year – Mid-Cap

Winning PE House of the Year has capped off a milestone 12 months for ECI having closed our largest ever fund, ECI 12, at the hard cap of £1bn and delivering 4 exits at a return of 4.7x average gross MOIC.

During the same period, we also launched a Growth Specialist panel, appointing experts in areas such as People & Talent, Technology and Sales & Marketing. Together with our in-house Commercial Team, this helped drive average portfolio revenue growth of more than 20%.

In addition, we further evolved our commitment to ESG becoming B Corp certified, developing a robust ESG toolkit to support the portfolio and registering ECI 12 as an Article 8 fund.

European Fund of the Year

This award recognises that we have delivered significant overall performance, standout deals, and the ability to achieve strong investor returns. On an aggregate basis, our ECI 10 fund aimed to generate over 2x TVPI and 20% net IRR for investors. The total return multiple is exceeding expectations at 2.6x TVPI and DPI for this 2015 vintage fund currently at 2.5x.
