In a recent blog, CEO of Ciphr, Sion Lewis shared his first 90 days in the new role. He states that while the first few months are a whirlwind, for him it’s been building on the success of recent years and about getting back to basics:

What do those basics look like? For me, it’s twofold: understanding what’s going on, and making sure that I have the right people supporting me on this transformation journey.

To find out what’s really going on in a company – or with any single customer’s organisation – I believe you have to go right to the source, whether that source is an individual or a set of data. That’s why I’ve been spending lots of time in our Marlow head office (and on Microsoft Teams), talking to people from across the organisation. I’ve also been out and about across the UK, meeting over 30 HR professionals and fellow C-suite leaders at customers such as home improvement company Kingfisher plc, waste management services provider Reconomy Group, and TRL, experts in the future of transport, to understand how Ciphr’s products support their people management goals, what they want from us as a software partner, and how we can provide an even better experience in the future.”

The recent appointments of Gerald Byrne as Chief Sales Officer and Simon Witkiss as VP of product underscore Ciphr’s commitment to driving growth, enhancing technology, and delivering exceptional HR solutions.

Gerald Byrne, a seasoned SaaS sales leader, joins Ciphr as the Chief Sales Officer, responsible for spearheading all sales activities across the organisation. With a track record of success at GoTo, Citrix, and Dell, Byrne brings extensive experience in building and expanding brands’ European presence and forging successful strategic partnerships.

Simon Witkiss joins as Ciphr’s first VP of product, taking over responsibility for Ciphr’s product strategy across its suite of market-leading HR, payroll, recruitment and learning solutions. He’ll lead all product activities for the group, further accelerating Ciphr’s product innovation and ongoing growth. Simon brings decades of experience in product management and product marketing, after holding many leadership roles across a variety of SaaS products.

Ciphr’s CEO, Sion Lewis, expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Gerald and Simon to the Ciphr team. Their collective expertise, leadership experience, and fresh perspectives will be invaluable as we drive our vision for future growth and innovation. With their appointments, we are confident in our ability to further enhance our market position and deliver exceptional HR solutions to our valued customers.
