Internationalisation in the ECI portfolio

International expansion plays an important part in ECI’s growth strategy. We have a strong track record of supporting international expansion in the portfolio through both organic growth in international territories, and through acquisitions as evidenced by nine international bolt-ons across ECI 9 from a total of the 17 completed to date.

Here are just some of the latest international highlights from the ECI portfolio:

  • This year Auction Technology Group invested in German headquartered online marketplace,
  • Investis has strengthened its US operations with the acquisition of Phoenix-based ZOG Digital
  • MPM is making strong international sales progress in the US and China across specialist pet, grocery and online channels
  • We are supporting the Media iQ team to execute its Asian growth plan and develop the business’ West Coast operation. Both Media iQ and MPM derive 60%+ revenues from outside of the UK with a bias towards North America 
  • ECI has helped Great Rail Journeys’ strategic international diversification into source markets including Australia, the US and Japan. The business has an international escorted rail offering covering over 50 countries
  • Imagesound currently partners with over 350 brands in 148 countries across 50,000 individual locations, and has international offices in Hong Kong and Los Angeles
  • 2017 saw three exits to international trade parties – Kelvin Hughes sold to HensoldtClarke Energy sold to Kohler Corporation; Stewart sold to Keter Plastics
