Moneypenny were also awarded the prestigious “Giving Something Back Special Award” in recognition of the excellent work they do for charity. The company hosts a number of fundraising events for three local charities that are chosen by employees. Furthermore the charity WeMindTheGap was founded by co-founder Rachel Clacher, and provides traineeships for disadvantaged young women.

We saw a real need to address social mobility in our community, and we applied the same ethos that Moneypenny was founded on, to focus on helping young people in need.

Make It Cheaper were also recognised for their excellent culture.  Last year the company moved offices, and their 267 employees were heavily involved in the design process. In honour of this, the names of each member of staff was etched on glass in a meeting room, whilst a wall was set aside for photographs of the team.

The business has a strong focus on culture and values – employees experience the buzz of working for a growing company in a positive vibrant atmosphere, where Make It Cheaper believe in celebrating hard earned success. Weekly awards are presented for staff who make life easy for customers and colleagues, and there is an annual all-expenses paid trip abroad for top performers.

It may seem small, but these are key cultural elements that encourage and foster work relationships.
