ECI Partners won the 2009 M&A magazine Deal/Dealmaker of the year award following their highly successful sale of Racal Acoustics to Esterline Technologies Corporation in January 2009 for £115m. Racal Acoustics is the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of 'ruggedised' specialist personal communications equipment for military applications, operating from premises in Harrow.
ECI's Ken Lindsay who led the transaction and sat on the Board of Racal Acoustics throughout the ECI investment period commented:
